Frank Ducos was named the Rotarian of the Day.
Frank is Chairman of the board for the Burkburnett Senior Citizens Activity Center. He provided the program covering the activities of the Senior Citizen Center. He discussed the current status of the center and praised the Rotary club for their support over the years, as well as all local citizens that provide time and monetary support for the program.
Three primary fundraisers are conducted each year, pancake feed, Texoma Gives, and fish fry. The state provides some funding; however, approximately 55% of the annual budget relies on donations from the community. Between meals deliveries and served at the center, approximately 150 folks are fed per day at a monthly budgeted cost of 16K. The center is focusing on more community involvement with enriching programs being conducted for Burkburnett Seniors on a more regular basis.
