Nancy Viavattene Rotarian of the Day

The Hon. Nancy Viavattene was the Rotarian of the Day. JP Viavattene presented information about the Commercial Vehicle Inspection program. State Troopers do not need probable cause to stop and inspect a commercial vehicle. The Trooper always uses a checklist which is quite exhaustive. The owner of the truck is liable for any citations issued.

With nearly 1,600 economically disadvantaged students in Burkburnett, many families struggle to purchase the school supplies required for the first day of school. The goal is to provide Burkburnett children with the school supplies they need to begin school in August. The school supply kits and backpacks will be distributed to qualifying children at the Burkburnett Rally. Community resource information and immunizations will also be available.
